Elsewhere Collective is designed specifically for solo women travelers who want more than just sightseeing – we lead small-group journeys that focus on authentic experiences and genuine connection.
Comfort, quality, and community are at the top of our minds.
Unlike many large, budget-driven tours that cater to either a party-focused crowd or pack dozens of people into a giant bus, we offer a different pace and a focus on quality.
If you're looking for meaningful travel with like-minded women, where you're treated as a guest rather than a number, you're in the right place.
-
Absolutely–in fact, most of our guests do! Elsewhere Collective is designed with solo women travelers in mind. Whether it’s your first time traveling alone or you’re a seasoned globetrotter, you’ll feel right at home in our small groups. We create a welcoming space where connection happens naturally, and many of our guests leave with genuine friendships (and future travel plans!) by the end of the trip.
Of course, if you’d like to join with a friend or family member, you’re more than welcome to do so.
-
Variety is the spice of life, so you’ll find plenty of diversity in our groups. It doesn’t matter what your background is - we’d love to welcome you.
The only requirement is that all participants are
18+
Physically fit enough to walk moderate distances, up stairs, etc (don’t worry, it’s not an Iron Man competition, but we will be doing a lot of walking)
Ready to have a great time!
-
We love when guests join us with a friend, sister, or mom! While our tours are designed with solo travelers in mind, they’re also a wonderful way to spend quality time with someone special, without the hassle of planning everything yourself.
You’ll still be part of a small, friendly group, and there’s plenty of opportunity to connect with others while enjoying the experience together.
-
Yes, we can accommodate dietary needs and restrictions.
While we can’t guarantee every meal will be perfectly tailored, we’ll always do our best to ensure you have suitable options throughout the trip. The sooner we know about your requirements, the better!
-
Our tours are moderately active, but think city walking rather than hiking boots.
Expect to be on your feet for several hours a day as we explore neighborhoods, visit markets, and stroll between activities. Remember, we’ll also be using public transportation so you may need to stand on a bus or train during busy periods.
If you’re generally fit and enjoy walking, you’ll be just fine - no extreme fitness required! We estimate you’ll be walking 15,000-20,000 steps per day.
Keep in mind that many old European cities are less accessible, meaning some hotels and train stations may not have escalators or elevators.
Pack light, as you’ll be responsible for getting your own luggage from point A to point B.
-
Of course.
We know not everyone has exactly the same taste. While most of our activities will be preplanned and done as a group, we give everyone some free time to explore, visit museums that appeal to them, see landmarks we might not stop at with the group, etc.
And if you have no idea what to do with your free time, don’t worry because we have plenty of suggestions!
-
No, and that’s one of the things that makes Elsewhere Collective different.
We’ve carefully chosen boutique hotels that allow for private, single-occupancy rooms as standard.
Most group tours require room sharing or charge steep upgrade fees, but we believe solo travel should still come with comfort and personal space. You’ll have your own room to unwind at the end of each day.
If you’re traveling with a friend and would prefer to share a room, just let us know before booking and we’ll do our best to arrange it for you.
-
Of course. We can offer shared accommodation at a slightly reduced price. Send us an email and we can provide details.
-
With only 6-8 spots per trip, we recommend booking early.
You’ll make a 25% deposit upfront and then pay additional 25% installments over the next three months.
If you’d like to pay in full upfront, you;ll be able to select that option on our checkout page.
-
We strongly recommend that all guests have travel insurance in place before the trip. It’s the best way to protect yourself in case of unexpected events like cancellations, delays, lost luggage, or medical issues while traveling. While we hope you won’t need it, having coverage gives you peace of mind and ensures that if the unexpected does happen, you’re protected.
-
If something unexpected happens and we need to cancel, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and you’ll receive a full refund of any payments made.
-
Yes, absolutely.
If you’d like to arrive a little earlier or stay on after the tour ends, just let us know and we’re happy to help you arrange extra nights at our hotel (subject to availability) or provide recommendations nearby.
It’s a great way to ease into your trip or enjoy a little more time in the city.
